Hilton's #1 Food & Beverage hotel is looking for an individual to join our management team in The Bar at Palm Court. As the Bar Manager you are given the opportunity to work with some of the finest spirits in the industry, and work in an architectural environment unlike any other in the city of Cincinnati.
Coordinates and administers sales of food and beverage in the lounge, in accordance with the service and liquor law standards.
Hire, train, supervise, and direct staff in the bar of the Hotel.
Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
Interact with the restaurant and sales department associates, as needed for guest service purposes.
Field customer complaints. Make decisions and take actions, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
Develop and implement basic operating standards for Beverage service in compliance with federal, state, local and Hilton's own practices.
Maintain established inventory by ordering all liquor and supplies in accordance with business needs.
Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages, including craft beers and cocktails.
Knowledge and enforcement of all applicable liquor codes (i.e. Federal, State, City and County liquor codes).
Strong familiarization with food and beverage financial systems and controls (eg. Capital budget, inventory control).
Ability to listen effectively and to speak English clearly.
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system when applicable.
Minimum of two years food and beverage experience and two years of supervisory experience required.
Five (5) or more years of previous Bartending experience is required.
